Torre del Mare Architectural Park - Bergeggi - Casa Adami
Da Vedere
Construction: 1962-1963
Location: Via Caravaggio, 5, 17028 Bergeggi SV
Builder: Tizzoni
The client requested a house identical to 'Casa Jussi,' but in this villa, Galvagni proposed circular openings instead of the previously used prisms.
Consisting of two separate apartments, vehicular access to the villa is via the homes roofing, whereas the pedestrian access is provided by an external staircase on the left from the street level below.
Structural walls, planters, and railings are still prominent and the walls are clad in bricks or white plaster.
Each floor features two volumetric prisms with a central glazed porthole that can be opened from the inside, projecting from the perimeter walls. On the seaside boundary, the parapet planters are triangular.
The materials used include rustic stone, exposed concrete, and klinker cladding; the structure is made of reinforced concrete, the attics are of reinforced brick and concrete and the enclosing walls are made with double-walled bricks.
The exterior walls are designed to be clad in natural-colored klinker, while the planters, projections, sunshade slats, and exposed concrete parapets are painted with white washable paint; the garage walls, staircase, and storage rooms are clad in rustic stone.
The house floors are of ceramic, wood, and Venetian style inside; Beola and Quartzite outside.
The plasters are of a standard type and the window frames are made of Douglas fir, spruce, and metal.
The heating system is designed for warm air, and the retaining walls of the two garden terraces are built of rustic stone.
The house comprises two misaligned residential floors, stepped-like, and a garage for two cars on the rooftop terrace, accessible by a ramp from the road above the property.
Each residential floor contains an apartment with a large living room, two twin bedrooms, a wardrobe room, a kitchen, a large bathroom and a service bathroom, along with various corridors; each of the two apartments thus consists of four rooms plus a kitchen and two bathrooms.
The terrace in front of the living room on the upper floor and the rooftop terrace are accessible, with their perimeters enclosed by continuous planters and benches.
